Lips
Sans Trips, Lips is still all about the Big Toothy Grin--
Now revisiting her early folk-music roots ("I want to be Joan Baez"), ordered strings for her acoustic guitar and revived her career as a solo artist, strummin' & grinnin' fer yas the following
Orginal tune titles:
"Ohh Well in O-Town"
"Super-Super Honey"
"Truth Be Told"
"Happy Birthday from The Cat"
"Hot Tub"
and MORE
JUST A NOTE
My gratitude ever radiates to Sheryl Johns, L.R. Fox, Beans Barton, Sean Walters and Red Dog Redmond who encouraged, trained and came to my aid during, before & after, those Formative Years in Kansas, CP-Town, and Houston, when I first started up my so-called music career (playing in public) back in 1965.
Also to all the kind folks that played in Lips & The Trips, especially Gary Clark & John Hessel (R.I.P.) who formed the core of my band before I moved to New Orleans and after I evacu-vacationed to Houston post-Katrina, August 2005. Loved hanging out with you, writing songs, laughing and loving!
And to Mark Fowler who dedicated many musical notes to my songs and to the band--as well as Matthew El D'Orazio, two Trips who stuck with me in Electrisical Frolic!!!
BLESS Y'ALL AND THANKS FOR ALL THE FUN!!!!
Original tunes:
"Swamp Throb"
"Swamp O'Love"
"Crocodile O'Love"
"New Orleans Queen Snake Shake"
"Mardi Gras Twister"
"The LipsMO'bile"
The Trips have taken a "hiatus" since we have no gigs...
Look for us in the near future when Electricity comes back in vogue...
AND NOW--
Will the Real Lips please stand up?
